The World Of The Unknown
The possibilities of life are unimaginable!
Back in school, I used to enjoy singing in front of my class. I used to get encouraged by my classmates to do so, especially when there was no teacher around. It felt great, using the platform to exhibit a certain skill.
It was somewhere in high school when I had to stop singing. My voice cracked.
It was a challenging few months where I found it hard to speak freely, let alone sing like I used to. I feared that I wouldn’t be able to enjoy singing again. With this thought at the back of my mind, I didn’t invest much time and energy into this field.
I got the opportunity to sing for choirs once I stepped into college. I took it, not thinking twice about where I was at with my vocals. This persistence and continued exposure to singing for choirs gave me the freedom that I once feared I lost. Now I sing with choirs on a regular basis.
There are a few other areas where I discovered I could really make an impact - writing, public speaking, taking up responsibility/leadership. I have come to value these areas. I know that if I continue to invest my time and energy in these areas, the quality of my life will improve, and with my contribution, so will that of others.
This is who I am. This is what I do.
Stay Curious. Explore. Persist.
It’s about putting ourselves out there and showing or telling people what we truly value. This will open up possibilities that will take us by surprise. We will have a lot to look forward to from then on.
There is a part of our world which is called the unknown. It is where we don’t know that we are good at something or there is something of immense value to us. Only with a sense of curiosity and an exploratory mindset will we be able to uncover that which lies in the unknown. Won’t it be great to make life more interesting than it already is?!
