My family and I got a kitten last Saturday. Her name’s Chuntu.
I always wanted to have a pet, but never really thought of getting one living in an apartment. But a few weeks back, my mum asked me if I wanted a kitten. I had to ask her a series of questions to confirm if what I heard was right!
The first few days were quite challenging with Chuntu crying in search of her mother and siblings. It is upsetting to see this especially because we as human beings know what it’s like to be away from our loved ones. At the time, we did all we could to give her the love and care she deserved and was missing.
I’m really glad that she has settled in well since she arrived. The best part for us — she is a wonderful entertainer. Chuntu has already climbed almost all surfaces around the house. She loves playing with a little ball, mum’s shawl, doormats, and a lot more!
She has found her place of comfort and relaxation beside the bed, in the lower compartment of a shelf. She knows where her food and the litter is kept. Fortunately, she has adjusted well to her new surroundings quickly!
Back when my grandparents were around and I used to go to their house, the first thing I used to do every morning was to go say hi to the dogs and cats. Well, old habits die hard. This past week, I woke up earlier than usual to say hi to Chuntu!
Although this week has not been too great in terms of my routine, I have enjoyed Chuntu’s company and that has made me happy. Having a pet around naturally uplifts us and puts us in a playful mood!
I am looking forward to all the happiness, laughter, and entertainment that this adorable one will bring in the days and months to come!

Enjoy the moment! Pets rejuvenate us and it’s a stress buster to just watch their antics. Have a ‘paw’ty time! 😊
