The Magic Of Music
Music touches the soul, nourishes the mind, and gets us into creative flow.
I doubt there is anyone out there who hasn’t felt at least a part of this to be true. It can also be said that music is our constant companion. When we are sad, we find comfort in music, when we are happy, we celebrate with music.
Let us make sure we express gratitude to this fascinating phenomenon a little more from today.
While I appreciate the power of music in this post, I will also tell you how I leverage its power:
At my home, music is running in the background more often than not. It’s either my brother who plays it on his Bluetooth speakers, or I plug in my earphones and just let the music take me away.
Both of us, my brother and I, work from home. While we spend more time on the laptop, it can be challenging for us to stay focused for prolonged periods.
But music makes work seem like play. Its magic helps us get into a creative flow and get more work done. Productivity is high when we have tracks from Ilan Bluestone and Nora En Pure playing. Listening to these DJs while working helps me focus better.
I also have an exercise routine in the evening. The day I do a dumbbell workout is when I use the Bluetooth speakers to give me that adrenaline boost. It’s a feeling I can’t put into words. Oh, and that extra rep becomes possible too! What’s more fun is that I dance in between each set!
Want to know the best part?
There is this space I go into where it’s just the music. It is what we call a flow state - losing track of space and time. It feels great when the monkey mind goes quiet during this time. I surely need to explore and find more music that makes me feel alive like this.
While we are amidst challenging times, let music continue to keep our bodies energized and our minds relaxed. Let us also keep the mood up by dancing whenever possible.
One step at a time. We’re in this together!
