The Essence of Inner Fire
Inner Fire is the power within all of us that allows us to engage fully with life. This fire within us needs constant rekindling. The power that we give to negativity diminishes our Inner Fire. On realizing this, you will have taken the first step to unleash it.
What comes to your mind when you hear the term Inner Fire? Do you want to unleash your power more often? How deep is your desire to experience each moment of life to the fullest?
Let us explore and understand more about the same...
We tend to dismiss the acceptance of negativity in life, trying to grab and hold on to as much positivity as possible. It is necessary for us to let the emotions express themselves by just being with them. We thus learn to look at each emotion and the thoughts that immediately follow for what they are. This is what our Inner Fire calls us to do. We notice it burning the brightest in the moments of being ‘in the flow’, where we lose track of space and time. We experience ego death—a moment to moment acceptance.
We are capable of standing our ground and not giving in to the thoughts that bog us down. Clarity comes as a result of this process. We can then use our power of choice to optimise the feelings we want for ourselves. With enough practise, we can train this muscle just like any other.
My Experience with Inner Fire
In my life up until now, I have channelled my Inner Fire on certain occasions. Be it while doing things I liked, or while being with the unpleasant feelings that come up. With this realization, I know that the power to feel both good and bad is with me.
Why I Have Started This Blog
With the system of habits that I have built, I will discover what I am capable of. Going forward, I will share with you:
1. What stepping into the unknown is like.
2. The new possibilities that I stumble upon.
3. Key insights into optimizing our state of being.
As I go ahead, I will do my best to keep rekindling my Inner Fire. I will be the warrior that I am. Taking the advice of James Clear, I will keep working on my system that takes me towards my goals. By following my journey, I hope you will be able to reflect and work on your own system. I know that this will fill you with confidence and help you make the most out of your life!
Before I continue on this journey, I would like to credit a few people who have a significant influence on my life.
My family. They have been with me through thick and thin. A big thank you to Frank Lobo, my brother, who is my hero.
James Clear, for Atomic Habits and the quality of his work.
The Landmark Forum, for kick-starting my journey of healing.
All my friends, for the joy that they add in my life.
